Brief History
The Amuvi Development Group (ADG) was established in June 2020 by the then President General of AWADA (formerly known as AWU), Mazi Ikechukwu Okafor. Its mandate is to lead, coordinate and implement the Association’s long term development initiatives. ADG operates as a specialized arm of the Men’s Wing of AWADA and is made up of Amuvians in Nigeria and the Diaspora.

The vision is to create a sustainable community in Amuvi village by enhancing the wellbeing of our people in the areas of:

Strategic Roadmap
To achieve the vision of sustainable development in Amuvi, a strategic roadmap was established to guide our progress. This roadmap outlines key steps and initiatives aimed at transforming Amuvi into a well-developed and thriving community.
- Designed in June 2020
- Formation of committees for the design and implementation of appropriate projects.
- The committees are to suggest, choose, plan and implement the necessary projects which are the building blocks in the strategic road linking Amuvi from its present situation to our desired strategic developed state as the goals are achieved.
- Set ground rules to guide our internal and external operations.
